BECAUSE HE LOVED US FIRST

BECAUSE HE LOVED US FIRST

Translated from the Afrikaans Version: Omdat Hy ons eerste liefgehad het

Someone asked me:

"I have not repented as yet. How do I know if God wants something to do with me? "

I share with you my answer I’ve written to this person and maybe you know someone who has the same question in their heart.

I would like to share with you something that made me very excited when I saw it for the first time and your question has once again aroused my exuberance.
The fact that you are wondering whether our Lord wants something to do with you, confirms to me that our Lord is already knocking on your heart’s door.

You see, as I understand it, the relationship between people and the Lord are initially initiated by our Lord.

Then afterward humankind would either accept or reject our Lord's advances.

Here is what makes this very exciting:
Our Lord looked at all the millions of people on earth, and from all those people in your lifetime, He chose you with whom He wants to have a relationship with.

1 JOHN 4:19 “We love each other because He loved us first.”

Now it is just a question whether you are going to answer His wonderful advances because it is written:

JOHN 1:12 “But to all who believed Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become children of God.”

He says, and this is clearly what’s happening to you:

REV 3:20 “Look! I stand at the door and knock.  If you hear My voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.”
REV 3:21 “Those who are victorious will sit with Me on My throne, just as I was victorious and sat with My Father on His throne.”

You are unquestionably hearing His voice and you are already standing with your hand on your heart’s doorknob, otherwise you would not have written this letter to me.

Now, turn your heart’s doorknob and open the door wide while praying this right where you are with full sincerity:

"Lord, I heard Your voice and Your knock on the door of my heart. Take control of me and my life.
I am accepting You as my Saviour and Redeemer. "

Now, as a matter of urgency, find a Christian congregation who applies the whole Bible as a basis for their teachings to help you further.
If you really do not know of such a church, please contact me.

Again I want to point out to you something wonderful (amongst other things) that lies ahead for you once you have opened your heart to Jesus, in spite of all satan’s attempts to prevent you from doing so:
Do you remember what you have read?

REV 3:21 “Those who are victorious will sit with Me on My throne, just as I was victorious and sat with My Father on His throne.”

Greetings,
Sakkie
