BINDING AND LOOSENING – Part 2

Open the door of your heart to Jesus today and do not allow it to be closed to everlasting life

In my previous writing to you regarding this matter, (Part 1) I began as follows:

Someone wrote to me:
“Please can you explain to me about binding and unbinding in heaven and vice versa?”

This is how I understand the matter and how I to the best of my abilities apply it to my life.
First read the following from the Word:

MAT 16:15-19 
15  “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”
16  Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
17  Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.
18  And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
19  I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

I then closed by writing amongst other things:

Now we must not forget, that Jesus also spoke of this key:

MAT 16:19  I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, …

I have shown in my previous writing how I understand that I am able and how I must do it, namely to open and unlock Heaven’s gate, to put it this way, into eternal life for all people in the world around me, so that they like myself can follow our Lord, loosened from this world, into Heaven.
Because remember, that you and I who have already have become part of this wonderful loosening and are no longer of this world.

JOHN 15:18  “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.
JOHN 15:19  If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.

On an occasion Jesus said the following to His disciples:

JOHN 17:14  I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world.
JOHN 17:15  My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one

Then what about…

MAT 16:19  I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven,  …”

One thing is certain, it is not like some people easily do to bind or loose, open or shut a door just as they like – I almost wanted to write just as the evil urge takes hold of them.
It is something that a true child of our Lord will do under great extent.
In other words I am forced to do this against my will.
How does this work?
To put a different way; How am I forced to do this?
Let me share with you a few sections from the Word:

MAT 10:14  If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, leave that home or town and shake the dust off your feet.
MAT 10:15  Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town (people).

MARK 6:11  And if any place will not welcome you or listen to you, leave that place and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.”

The New King James Version (NKJV) reads as follows (this is a similar version to what was in the original Afrikaans writing):

MARK 6:11  And whoever will not receive you nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city (people)!”

LUKE 10:10-12 
10 But when you enter a town and are not welcomed (do not want to listen to your preaching), go into its streets and say,
11  ‘Even the dust of your town we wipe from our feet as a warning to you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God has come near.’
12  I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town (people).

If I share the Gospel with someone and the person does not want to listen to me or does not want to heed what I share with him/her and I try and try but to no avail, our Lord says; there comes a time when I need to move on.

Because you see:
I am one person who only has so much time to proclaim the Gospel and the harvest is vast but the harvesters are few.

MAT 9:37  Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.

Someone may ask:
Do you understand it correctly?
Does there really come a time, that I must discontinue proclaiming the Gospel to a person who is hard headed/stubborn who does not want to accept it?

Well, let us look at the example Jesus’s disciples set for you and me:

ACTS 13:50  But the Jewish leaders incited the God-fearing women of high standing and the leading men of the city. They stirred up persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them from their region.
ACTS 13:51  So they shook the dust off their feet as a warning to them and went to Iconium.

ACTS 13:46  Then Paul and Barnabas answered them boldly: “We had to speak the word of God to you first. Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles.
ACTS 13:47  For this is what the Lord has commanded us:
“‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’”

In other words; is Heaven, eternal life, truly unreachable for those people who were very headstrong / rebellious and did not want to listen to you or me?

Read the following from the Word and I want to remind you again about three sections that you have already read and then you decide for yourself what the Word says and whether I correctly understand the Word concerning this matter.

MAT 10:15  Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.

ACTS 13:46   … Since you reject it and do not consider yourselves worthy of eternal life, we now turn to the Gentiles.

LUKE 10:11  ‘Even the dust of your town we wipe from our feet as a warning to you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God has come near.’

If someone does not want to accept what I share with them and the Holy Spirit within my heart says that I have spent enough of my limited time on that person and I must now move on, the door is now closed for that person to go to Heaven and thereafter also to eternal life because of their rejection to accept Jesus and within my forced action to now move on – in other words, it is locked.

Maybe our Lord will send someone else afterwards to try again to open the door to Heaven and eternal life for that person – but at least until that time, if there will be time yet again, the door to Heaven and eternal life through me for that person is now left closed and locked.

Now I want to ask you:
Has anyone shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ with you and did you force him/her by your rejection to turn around and walk away – leaving the door to Heaven and eternal life shut and locked for yourself?

Well our Lord meant that you read this writing today and He – our Lord Jesus – says once again to you at this moment:

HEB 4:6  Therefore since it still remains for some to enter that rest, and since those who formerly had the good news proclaimed to them did not go in because of their disobedience,
HEB 4:7  God again set a certain day, calling it “Today.” This he did when a long time later he spoke through David, as in the passage already quoted: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.”

Again you are hearing His voice through this writing.

Open your heart for Jesus today, so that Heaven can be opened for you and you can become part of eternal life.  Again Jesus says to you today:

REV 3:20  Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

If you want to do this now, then say it now right where you are, to Jesus by praying the following:

“Lord, I experience again today that you have chosen me to be part of Your kingdom and I open my heart.  I accept You as my Redeemer, Lord and Saviour.
In Jesus’s Name.
Amen.”

Now you must find a Christian congregation that accepts the whole Bible as the undisputed Word from God.
Straight after the first service you attend make an appointment with the Minister of that congregation for further instruction/guidance.
It will of course be much easier if you go with someone you know which is already involved with such a congregation therefore look amongst your friends for someone like this to go with.
