LET NO ONE SAY WHEN HE HAS BEEN TEMPTED: GOD IS TEMPTING ME

LET NO ONE SAY WHEN HE HAS BEEN TEMPTED:  GOD IS TEMPTING ME

Someone wrote to me with the following question:

“I have fallen in love with someone.
The person is married with children.
I want to know why our Lord allows a person to fall in love with someone who is already married and what must I do now?”

I want to begin by saying that our Lord would never do something like that, because our Lord will never ‘ignite/bring into existence’ something in a person’s life that He clearly states throughout His Word that He despises.

We will also do good to remember:

JAMES 1:13-15
13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone;
14  but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed.
15  Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

Then, that what you have shared with me, is one of satan’s old “tricks” to try and catch and then destroy our Lord’s children.
Because believe me if you are not going to take the decision to turn your back on this, you are looking for immense trouble/problems, to express it mildly.
As an example go and read the history of David and Bathsheba and the later consequences resulting from what they did.
You will find it in 2 SAMUEL from 2 SAMUEL 11:2 onwards.

There is a great price to pay with this sort of thing if you do not turn your back on it.

Now I am going to say something that most women do not want to believe:
Love is not something that just happens to you.

It is not something that just happens to you and can or could not do anything about it.

Love is, whether we want to know it or not, or like some people do not want to know, it is a decision you have made.
I always validate/proof my writings from our Lord’s Word and in primary from the greatest commandment; the Love Law that Jesus gave to you and me:

Let’s read the following:

MATTHEW 22:35-40
35 One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question:
36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
38 This is the first and greatest commandment.
39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’
40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Do you see what you have just read?
It is not written that you will just love our Lord.
No!
You are given a command, or if you want, an order.
You must make a decision and work on it.  Because you, child of God, ‘must’ love our Lord.
I will not be able to say to our Lord one day that I am sorry but it just did not happen that I fell in love with Him.
Because!

MATTHEW 22:37  Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’

Do you see what you have just read?
It is not written, that you will not just fall in love with your neighbour.
No!
You must make a decision and work on it.  Because you, child of God, ‘must’ love your neighbours as you love yourself.
I will not be able to say to our Lord one day that I am sorry, but it just did not happen that I fell in love with my neighbour.
Because!

MAT22:39  And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’

For the same reason, one day I will not be able to say that I could not help it –
It just happened.
I just fell in love with him/her.
Because!

GAL 5:19  The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery;

In your writing to me I can certainly see that I am talking to a mature child of our Lord.
So I say to you with great compassion and with the love of Jesus:
Turn your back on this great wrong that satan wants to do you.

JAMES 4:7  Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Just after this I will send you something that someone wrote for whom I have great respect, just to show you that there are other people who believe as I do.
