FOR WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS …

FOR WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS…

I would like to share with you what came into my heart after I read the following from our Lord’s Word.

Jesus says:

MAT 6:21  For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

On more than one occasion Jesus makes the comparison between the the kingdom of Heaven and a treasure.

It is in these last days that it is unfortunately and how terrible it is to say, that many so called Christian’s hearts are so very, very far from our Lord.  We must be careful in our daily lives and not be obstructed to acknowledge the wrong as sin.

I must actually know, that the sign that I show the person who has just swerved in front of me in traffic, or the pen that I have stuck in my pocket at work, these are but two examples of many of which I could have used, are no less of a sin as the person what for example has robbed a bank. To our Lord sin is exactly that – its sin.

I want to encourage all Christians that read this email:

Let us make a difference.  Let us live, show and share with the people around us, these treasures that are in our hearts.

Jesus says:

MAT 12:35  A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.

Jesus says:

LUKE 6:46  Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?

Jesus says:

MAT 7:18-21
18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.
19  Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20  Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.

True and False Disciples

21  “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

Therefore, fellow Christians on our journey to our eternal residence –
Let us show through words and deeds to the people around us, the treasure that is within our hearts.

Jesus says:

MAT 5:14-16
14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.
15  Neither do people light a lamp nor put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
16  In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Greetings,
Sakkie
