Someone wrote to me about so called photo’s, which were sent to her, which someone, as it looks to me, taken ostensibly (appears to be true), through some or other way shows that the end of the world is at hand.
That person wanted to know from me if she should use them in the spreading of the Gospel.
Right here in the beginning I just want to mention, that I do not want to make disparaging remarks about the program “Photoshop”. I think it is a very good program. Really unfortunately satan does make use of people who then use the program incorrectly.
I would like to share my answer with you that I wrote about the matter, because I am sure you will come across this sort of thing at some or other time.

I just realised, that my blindness has some advantages that I did not know about.
I want to start with:
I personally do not pay any attention at all to these pictures and or visions which tell us, that the coming of our Lord is at hand. All the signs and proofs which I need, I find in the Word, and I need nothing more.
I want to greatly encourage you that you and I, will always remember and have the preparedness, that satan can appear to us like an angel of light:
2COR 11:13-15
13 For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as apostles of Christ. (NIV)
14 And no wonder, for satan himself masquerades as an angel of light.
15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.
Today a person can take a photo of you, “Photoshop” it and when you see it again, you are posing naked on some or other beach where you have never been in your life.
Therefore I do not bother myself, no matter even if it is very impressive or how significant it may look.
I live my life as it is determined (guided) by what is written in the Word.
For example:
1PET 5:7-9
7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith,
While we do this, we must preach the pure gospel of Jesus Christ as we find it in His Word and win people for Jesus, not spreading scary stories and or pass around “photo shopped’ pictures, which only people who are able to afford the right equipment, can see.
As if our Lord Himself does not care about the poor people who cannot afford computers and phones on which these so called signs can be seen.
MAT 28:18-20
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
20 and teaching them (not showing them pictures) to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
I think about all these signs, that is these pictures etc. which are lavishly sent (emailed) around by these scare mongering evangelists and I prefer to remember what Jesus told us, how I must preach His gospel and while I “delete” the “photo-shopped” rubbish, I remember what Jesus said about signs and the people who look for them:
MAT 12:39 He answered, “A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
MAT 12:40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
You and I know about the sign that Jesus was speaking of.
Jesus Christ was crucified.
He died and was buried.
He rose from the dead on the third day.
We have the sign of Jonah which Jesus talks about and need nothing more:
MAT 12:40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
Therefore, let you and me no fears about the coming of Jesus, because we know that we are on our way to Heaven.
Let us rather use our life and energy to preach the Gospel through our lives and through our pure words as we find it in the Word – to as many people as possible, because we must remember, what He said about His return:
MAT 24:38-42
38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark;
39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.
41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
I personally only concern myself with what I find in our Lord’s beloved Word, I only need His Word guided by His Holy Spirit to live and to preach the gospel and to be ready for His wonderful return.
In closing, let me through all of this which you and I know from His Word, leave you with the following out of His precious Word:
MAT 24:24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
MAT 24:25 See, I have told you ahead of time.
