WHO IS SATAN, CAN HE READ OUR THOUGHTS AND DOES HE REALLY EXIST? PART 3

WHO IS SATAN, CAN HE READ OUR THOUGHTS AND DOES HE REALLY EXIST ?

PART 3

Sakkie Parsons

This is the last post in this short series on: Who is satan, can he read our minds and does he really exist.

So now I share with you about the, in my opinion, blasphemous question which some people ask namely: Does satan really exist?

Now I could have quoted an enormous amount of passages of text to show that the Word clearly state that satan is a reality, but I am going to share with you one passage from the Word to show how satan already manage that religious people, under the banner of searching for the truth about satan, slander against our Lord.

I share with you the following from the Word and then you have to decide for yourself whether I am right when I say that satan is already managing that people in this late stage, before our Lord’s coming, in the name of religion, slander against God Almighty and because they do not let themselves be guided by the Holy Spirit, they do not even realize what a terrible sin they are committing.

First, we read the following:

MAT 4:1-11

The Temptation of Jesus

1Then Jesus was led by the [Holy] Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. [Luke 4:1-13] 2After He had gone without food for forty days and forty nights, He became hungry. [Ex 34:28; 1 Kin 19:8] 3And the tempter came and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” 4But Jesus replied, “It is written and forever remains written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes out of the mouth of God.’ ” [Deut 8:3]

5Then the devil took Him into the holy city [Jerusalem] and placed Him on the pinnacle (highest point) of the temple. [Neh 11:1; Dan 9:24] 6And he said [mockingly] to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down; for it is written,

‘He will command His angels concerning You [to serve, care for, protect and watch over You]’;

and

‘They will lift you up on their hands,

So that You will not strike Your foot against a stone.’ ” [Ps 91:11, 12]

7Jesus said to him, “On the other hand, it is written and forever remains written, ‘You shall not test the Lord your God.’ ” [Deut 6:16]

8Again, the devil took Him up on a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and the glory [splendor, magnificence, and excellence] of them; 9and he said to Him, “All these things I will give You, if You fall down and worship me.” 10Then Jesus said to him, “Go away, Satan! For it is written and forever remains written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.’ ” [Deut 6:13] 11Then the devil left Him; and angels came and ministered to Him [bringing Him food and serving Him].

When Jesus was tempted by satan in the desert, He was there alone according to the Word. We read:

MAT 4:1 Then Jesus was led by the [Holy] Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. [Luke 4:1-13]

Then follows what happened in the desert. The only way Matthew could have obtained this information, for example, is from Jesus Himself.

What I say now, I say with the greatest respect towards my God and Saviour Jesus Christ and fortunately He know my heart. What you have just read leaves everyone who wonder about the existence of satan, with two options:

Either there is a satan who, for example, tempted Jesus in the desert; or, Jesus lied when He told what happened to Him. Because Jesus must have shared these events with, for example, Matthew, otherwise Matthew could not have written about this.

I put it this strongly so that you can see the full extent of the actions of people who want to investigate the existence of satan.

What do you do, if you just even wonder if there is a satan – You wonder if God Almighty didn’t lie on occasion about something He told. Because who is this Jesus who, for example, told what happened on top of the temple’s roof?

HE is God Almighty who became man.

JOHN 1:1 The Deity of Jesus Christ

1 In the beginning [before all time] was the Word ([a]Christ), and the Word was with God, and [b]the Word was God Himself.

JOHN 1:14

The Word Made Flesh

14 And the Word (Christ) became flesh, and lived among us; and we [actually] saw His glory, glory as belongs to the [One and] only begotten Son of the Father, [the Son who is truly unique, the only One of His kind, who is] full of grace and truth (absolutely free of deception).

So, from where I stand, if you want to investigate whether there is a satan, is to investigate whether Jesus, God who became man, lied; and to just suggest that God might have lied, is in my book, blasphemy.

By the way, in my opinion Jesus is, in the Word, also the One who talk the most about Hell.

There is a satan for sure.

There is a hell for sure.

All those who do not accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, will surely be tormented with satan and his angels in hell forever.

This is not what I say, this is what Jesus is saying:

MAT 13:41-42

41 The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend [those things by which people are led into sin], and all who practice evil [leading others into sin], 42 and will throw them into the furnace of fire; in that place there will be weeping [over sorrow and pain] and grinding of teeth [over distress and anger].

I conclude this short series of 3 Parts with this very good advice for you and me, from our Lord’s Holy Word:

1PET 5:8-9

Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour. But resist him, be firm in your faith [against his attack—rooted, established, immovable], knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being experienced by your brothers and sisters throughout the world. [You do not suffer alone.]

Greetings,

Sakkie
