I want to share with you what occurred to me after someone wrote something to me.
It is certainly wonderful to look at a rainbow and to know that it is God’s sign to us that the world will never again be destroyed through water.
Before you read the section from the Word –
It is quite an interesting thought to think that there was a time on earth that there was never a rainbow.
GENESIS 9:8-17
8 Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him:
9 “I now establish My covenant with you and with your descendants after you
10 and with every living creature that was with you—the birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you—every living creature on earth.
11 I establish My covenant with you: never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.”
12 And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between Me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come:
13 I have set My rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.
14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds,
15 I will remember My covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.
16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”
17 So God said to Noah, “This is the sign of the covenant I have established between Me and all life on the earth.”
Another thing to be clearly understood which concerns the rainbow is the following:
Even if I see a rainbow every day, I will not escape God’s punishment in the fires of hell, if the blood of Jesus did not wash me clean of all my sins.
Only His blood can extinguish the fires of hell.
1JOHN 1:6-10
6 If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth.
7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.
1JOHN 2:1-5
1 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.
2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
Love and Hatred for Fellow Believers
3 We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands.
4 Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person.
5 But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him:
Now look at how satan blinds many people and I am speaking here about those who go through life under the ensign (banner) of being a Christian.
They know it is written:
1JOHN 2:4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
1JOHN 2:5 But whoever keeps his word, truly the love of god is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. (NKJV)
You see, there are people who have the image of godliness.
2TIM 3:5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
With that false image they follow satan blindly.
They are so blinded that they cannot see the lovely rainbow of God’s love in Christ Jesus for them and clutching in the dark for all sorts of compromises, they are stumbling after satan, who leads them – what they do not realise – literally to hell.
Because you see –
MAT 3:12 His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”
You see it works with God this way:
MAT 6:24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
That is why my advice to people who speak to me about their retreated condition (sliding backward) in their relationship with our Lord is as follows:
Or, if someone says to me that they know that they are not right but what can they do?
I then answer:
“Leave that other god and all his mess and stand still and listen how Jesus is calling you.
He wants to save you from hell. He wants you to be His child.”
MAT 11:28 Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Maybe He is now calling you. Maybe this is why you are reading this email. If you feel it now in your heart, that this is the reason why you are reading this email, He is saying to you now with all the love that went with Him, for you and me, on His walk to Golgotha and on the cross where he hung for you and me:
REV 3:20 “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with Me.“
It does not matter how hopeless your case may be.
It does not matter how many compromises you have made to this point. If you now, here at this time want to take a real decision for Jesus Christ and turn around, your past does not exist anymore for our Lord.
Remember now, at this day and time what you have just read:
1JOHN 2:2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
