Someone wrote to me and would like to know when the Pope started changing the Word/Bible.
Very briefly, before I say anything further about the Catholic Church, I just answer the following:
As far as my knowledge goes it is not just one specific Pope who started changing the Word as it suited them in their particular time but many Pope’s over many, many years.
Later it became so terrible, that as for today, in my personal opinion, the Catholic Church, which wants to place itself under the banner of a Christian denomination, is really not a Christian denomination.
Having said this, I know of people who truly love Jesus but unfortunately they have also been indoctrinated through the many, in my opinion, evil falsehoods in that religion.
I do not want to discuss unchristian (in my view) – let us call it ‘practices’ here, otherwise this writing will become too long, so I will suffice with just the following:
According to my opinion, if a person was to rank it – the most unchristian of them all, is the deification of Jesus’s mother, Maria.
You could even say that according to the Catholic religion, she could be named as the fourth person in the Trinity.
For example, we read:
No-one comes to the Father except through Jesus:
JOHN 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
One of the Catholic Church’s Popes decided that is the correct thing to do – but no-one can go to Jesus except through His mother.
So by the way, as far as I know, Maria, the mother of Jesus, is regarded by the Catholic Church as the queen of the Universe.
Subsequently I also mention, because it is so well known in the Catholic church, that in the New Testament, in the New Covenant of our Lord with His people, there are no priests to whom we must go and confess our sins and so receive an acquittal, forgiveness or waiver, in English one would say receive “Absolution“.
To summarize thus far:
In my opinion, the Catholic Church is certainly not what I would call a Christian religion.
For approximately the first 300 years of Christianity, Christians were cruelly hunted – but our Lord who hung upon the cross, so that you and me included would one day be with Him in heaven, did not allow satan to get away with what he wanted to get away with, namely to completely destroy Christianity.
Ponder the greatest spectacle:
First Christians are cruelly/brutally hunted and murdered for approximately 300 years and today there are billions of Jesus Christ’s followers dispersed across the world.
I love history and want to share the following with you:
After approximately 3 centuries of the cruellest hunting of Christians, where satan was unable to destroy Christianity, emperor Constantine came to power, but this was in the time that the decline of the Roman empire and satan because who he is, sees a different opportunity and grabs it.
It happened this way:
Constantine saw a religion and how he would be able to use Christianity to his advantage in unifying the Roman Empire but there were many, many pagan religions in the great Roman Empire which would not just give up their religions.
Then Constantine took different parts from the pagan religions that were important to them and with religious church leaders made them part of Christianity and so the decay began.
Due to the powers given to the Pope through the centuries, it became just worse and worse, and xx up to when Marten Luther nailed his 95 theses against the door of the church in xx Wittenberg and thereafter the believers returned to the true church’s original principals.
As I have mentioned –
In 325 after Christ, Constantine brought together the church leaders in Nicaea and there began the decay of which we read in the Word and what has now started again in the majority of denominations, because satan, god of evil, will never throw in the towel until the end.
That is why we read and just look at all the things taken from the Word by some of those so- called great evangelists and just look at all the things that have been added by some of those so-called great evangelists:
2 TIM 4:3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.
2 TIM 4:4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
I leave you with the following advice that Paul gave to Timothy concerning people who distort and contaminate the Word:
2 TIM 4:5 But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist (even if you can only evangelise through the way you live your life), discharge all the duties of your ministry.
