THROUGH ALL OUR SUFFERING, HE ENCOURAGE AND STRENGTHEN US

THROUGH ALL OUR SUFFERING, HE ENCOURAGE AND STRENGTHEN US

While I was meditating one day I thought:
How blessed we as children of God are. We, who adopted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour.
Just think ..

MAT 5:3:  "God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for Him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.”

How wonderful is it not that we know that we need our Lord, and because we are absolutely sure of it in our hearts, we also know:

MAT 5:3:  "…, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.”

How wonderful!
It does not end there.
Remember the next time your heart is filled with hurt and tears are streaming down your cheeks:

MAT 5:4:  "God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”

I remember these words that you just read, as I also remember another scripture which Jesus inspired John to write:

JOHN 14:25-26
25 “I am telling you these things now while I am still with you.”
26 “But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative – that is, the Holy Spirit – he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.” (As also the scripture above this)

Then I understand anew what I’ve read when I read:

JOHN 14:27: "I am leaving you with a gift – peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give.  So don’t be troubled or afraid.”

Why should I feel comforted and why should I not be upset or frightened?
Because eventually –
How wonderful!

MAT 5:3:  "God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for Him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.”

And what's more:

MAT 5:4:  "God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”

Because we know the above with surety, I can exclaim the following with my great hero Paul, while we continue the work of God which our Lord has entrusted us with:

2 COR 1:3-4
3 “All praise to God, the Father of our lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort.”
4 “He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others.  When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.”
