DO YOU WANT GOD’S FIRE TO BURN BBRIGHTLY ON THE HEARTH OF YOUR HEART? PART 2

DO YOU WANT GOD’S FIRE TO BURN BRIGHTLY ON THE HEARTH OF YOUR HEART? – Part 2 of 2

Sakkie Parsons

Translated from Afrikaans: “Wil jy hê dat GOD se vuur helder moet brand op die vuurherd van jou hart? Deel 2”
Translator:  Robin Barker

In yesterday’s writing I already shared with you about the first kind of ‘ash’  which a person must scrape out from your hearth if you want the fire in the hearth of your heart to burn high and brightly for our Lord.

Now I want to really show you the second type of ash which must be scraped out of the hearth of your heart.

According to what was sent to me, which our Lord used to guide me onto this thought what you have been through, here is it again:

“Do you want God’s fire to burn brightly on the hearth of your heart?  Then scrape yesterday’s ash out.”

The second type of ash which you must scrape out of the hearth of your heart if you want the fire in your heart that will heat the people for our Lord and which will lighten their lives, are bad feelings about something which has happened or has never stopped happening.

How do I do this?
It is written:

MAT 5:23  “Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you,
MAT 5:24  leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.

Further is written:

MAT 5:43-48
43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’
44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that?
47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?
48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

How can I be whole in this matter?
Is it at all possible to be whole regarding this matter?

Certainly this is possible; otherwise Jesus would not have given us this instruction.

We read here:

COL 3:13  Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
COL 3:14  And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

Jesus presents God’s ‘Love Law’ to you and me as follows:

MAT 22:37-40
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
38  This is the first and greatest commandment.
39  And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’
40  All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

I close this writing to you with –
It is written:

ROM 13:8-11
8 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
9  The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbour as yourself.”
10  Love does no harm to a neighbour. Therefore love is the fulfilment of the law.
11  And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.

If you have still not managed to scrape all the ash from yesterday out of the hearth of your heart, do not become despondent, but do not stop scraping.  Because if I understand the Word correctly concerning this matter, it is attainable and if I strive to attain this and even if I do not attain this completely, I will not stop trying to achieve this.

Because the more ash I scrape away, the higher and brighter the fire burns for our Lord and the people around me in the hearth of my heart.

2COR 13:11 Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.

Greetings,
Sakkie
