I REALLY WANT TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN…

Someone send me a question, which in short reads as follows –
“I want to become a Christian but I do not know how to go about it and if I have done the right things, how will I know, that I am truly a Christian?”
I want to begin by saying:
I am so very, very happy to read this question which was sent to me, because you see –
Your question says to me very loud and clear, that you have heard our Lord knocking on your heart delightfully loud and clear.
The only thing that you must do and through this writing to me, it is clear to me, that you will not have a problem in doing this.
You must open your heart to our Lord, who is knocking on the door of your heart.
He says to us:
REV 3:20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
REV 3:21 To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his.
To clearly understand why our Lord knocks on the door of our heart, I must share the following with you:
The majority of people believe that there is a God but that belief can and shall not save them from hell.
Do you know that even satan believes that there is a God but that naturally will not save him from hell.
JAMES 2:19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.
Then also –
All other religions are based on this: That you as a person must reach out to God first.
There is only one religion and that is the Christian religion where God has reached out to people first and still does, that is why you hear Him knocking on the door of your heart.
Because – and how wonderful!!!
There was a day that came just over 2,000 years ago, of which the Word testifies:
GAL 4:4 But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,
GAL 4:5 to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to Sonship.
Our Lord came to us, reached out to the people.
He made it possible through Jesus Christ that the loving relationship between people and God that exists and which was destroyed through sin, could be recovered again.
Just a perfect sacrifice could erase the sin which caused division between our perfect God and the people and in the whole universe there was only one perfect sacrifice, the only one perfect sacrifice that could be brought and that was Jesus Christ, God, who became man.
JOHN 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
JOHN 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
How wonderful to know –
1COR 5:7 Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.
Here it is, to put it that way, the lovely unique godly wonder of the Christian religion.
Besides opening the door of your heart to Jesus and inviting Him in and accepting Him as your Redeemer and Saviour, is there nothing more that you must do to be certain that you have been saved and have eternal life.
Our Lord has done everything!
JOHN 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
JOHN 3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.JOHN 5:24 “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.
There is truly no other way to begin having a loving relationship with our Lord and to be saved from hell.
ACTS 4:12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
Do you want to go from spiritual death to eternal life?
Do you want to be certain that you will live for eternity in the afterlife and not for eternity die a terrible death in hell and actually never die?
Well the only way to do that is in your own words, or in the example which I will now share with you, is to say something like the following, in true sincerity, to Jesus:
“Jesus, I hear the knocking on the door of my heart.
I now understand, that without You in my life I am, a sinful person, lost.
Jesus I accept You as my Redeemer and Saviour and I intrust my life to You.”
Now you must find, as a matter of urgency, a congregation which accepts the whole Bible as the Holy Words of our Lord.
Visit the congregation on a day when there is a church service, generally every Sunday, to our Lord and make an appointment with the shepherd of the congregation after the service for further counselling.
Someone asked:
“How can I know for definite, that I am a child of our Lord that I really have taken everything to heart and have handled it accordingly to what you have written?”
It is wonderfully simple –
God says this and had it written in His Word for us and God does not lie.
NUM 23:19 God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfil?
There is a section in the Word, where our Lord who cannot lie, beautifully compiled everything, to put it that way, what I have now shared with you.
JOHN 1:12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—
Maybe someone will read this thought from the Word, who has not yet accepted Jesus as their Redeemer and Saviour.
I now want to say to you –
Jesus is knocking on the door of your heart, which is why you have read this until this point.
Now the question to you is:
Are you going to open up, or are you going to ignore the knocking?
