NO ONE CAN COME TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME

Translated from the Afrikaans Version: Niemand kom by die Vader uit behalwe deur My nie.

Someone wrote to me and asked:
"I only have 1 question: Where do I begin to start changing my life?"
I share with you what I have discovered in my own life and with our Lord's loving mercy, I attempt to live this out in my life to the best of my ability.
There is only one place to start and Jesus said in His precious Word that there is only one place in the universe to begin:
JOHN 14:6: “Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through Me.”
The KJV translation puts it this way:
JOHN 14:6: “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.”
Now the question is:
What do I have to do to start there?
ACTS 2:38: “Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
ACTS 2:39: “This promise is to you, to your children, and to those far away —all who have been called by the Lord our God.”
Once you have done that – How would one strive to the best of your ability to life?
Someone else asked Jesus the same question and I share with you the answer Jesus gave:
MAT 22:37-40
37 “Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.”
38 “This is the first and greatest commandment.”
39 “A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.”
40 “The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”
How would one know if you truly love Jesus and have a relationship with Him?
Jesus said:
JOHN 14:15: “If you love Me, obey My commandments.”
Then Jesus further said:
JOHN 14:21: “Those who accept My commandments and obey them are the ones who love Me. And because they love Me, My Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.”
I conclude this letter with the following. It is very easy to establish whether you have a relationship with our Lord as we read the following:
JOHN 3:16: “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.”
JOHN 3:17: “God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him.”
What does God’s Word say is a very clear indication whether I love the Lord and uphold His amendments?
1 JOHN 4:19-21
19 “We love each other because He loved us first.”
20 “If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?”
21 “And He has given us this command: Those who love God must also love their fellow believers.”
Greetings,
Sakkie
