PORNOGRAPHY – DO YOU WANT TO GIVE UP YOUR ETERNAL LIFE FOR THIS?

Someone wrote to me as follows:
"Sakkie I am trying to show certain men, who call themselves Christians and believe they is allowed to distribute vulgar videos and photos among themselves, that it is serious sin.
I need Scripture from the Word to support my view.
The girls who let them be photographed maybe enjoyed it – but I feel our body is a temple of God, and you dare not say you are a Believer and then circulate such photographs.”
I could sense the person feels very upset and deeply hurt over that which was sent to him/her – asking for Scriptures from the Word to help to show friends and acquaintances how destructive foolish they are – and that is exactly what I am going to do now – but first the following:
Of the terrifying statistics you can check yourself on the internet if you want to prove to yourself that I'm telling the truth, in my opinion there are three horrific attacks by satan with pornography on the lives of Christians, because I am writing to Christians.
It is very informative to me, that the one day in the week where most pornography is watched is Sundays. The one day that Christians set aside to come together as congregations to hold services to the honour and glorification of our God and our Saviour.
Pornography is now the main destroyer of a real Christian relationship in marriage, starting with that kind of adultery and then grows to all the evil around it.
Jesus, our Lord and Saviour, says:
MAT 5:28 But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
Then there is the pandemic around the world but especially here in South Africa of domestic violence and rape, where we claim that as many as 80% of the population are Christians.
People as young as 14 years old have start to rape.
Remember, I am sharing in this writing in the first place with Christians – people who call themselves Christians.
Let's just take a quick look at us as Christians and some statements from the Word concerning you and me and in particular our bodies, that we should keep in mind before we post a picture or something of ourselves or anyone else over the internet:
1COR 3:16-17
16 Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?
17 If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple.1 COR 6:15-20
15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ?
Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Never! (In my opinion; in the place of prostitute, you can read pornography)16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute (I believe you can read in the place of prostitute also porn) becomes one body with her? For, as it is written, "The two will become one flesh." (And that’s me, while I enjoy pornography – also in my mind and spirit – with the pornography I’m seeing in front of me)
17 But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with Him.
18 Flee from sexual immorality (pornography.) Every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person (for instance, who takes part in pornography) sins against his own body.
19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,
20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.(which you cannot do if you are active or engaging in pornography)
Listen carefully:ROM 6:16 Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness?
Of you and me, who are truly followers of Jesus Christ, can rightly be said of things like pornography among others:
ROM 6:17-19
17 But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed,
18 and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.
19 I am speaking in human terms, because of your natural limitations. For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.
We also read in the Word:
1JHN 2:16 For all that is in the world–the desires of the flesh (this is also part of pornography) and the desires of the eyes (which is also part of pornography) and pride in possessions–is not from the Father but is from the world. (of which my false own self is part in pornography)
You and I were created in the image of God, and we have many the same qualities as our Father.
For example, like my Father, I have a will of my own – it is part of my divine DNA. That is why we read:
1 COR 6:9-12
9-10 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, (which pornography is part of) nor idolaters,(also part of pornography) nor adulterers,(also part of pornography) nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
12 (With my own will) "All things are lawful for me," but (with my own will I know) not all things are helpful. "All things are lawful for me," (because I have my own will) but I will not be enslaved by anything. (I will not make myself a slave of, for example, pornography)
GAL 6:7-8
7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
If I already am a slave of pornography, I will immediately take action to break free from it because my life , my eternal life depended on it!
Get help as in immediately – Because otherwise you will eventually not be able to turn around anymore – simply because you will not want to turn around anymore and it will not bother you anymore.
Read the following with serious attention and examine yourself:
2PET 2:19-22
19 They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved.20 For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.
21 For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.
22 What the true proverb says has happened to them: "The dog returns to its own vomit, and the sow, after washing herself, returns to wallow in the mire."
So , leave this evil and turn back to Christ , because ultimately child of God , this is the tough reality of pornography but also all other things that satan captures us as children of God:
I plead with you child of God; do not wilfully plod onwards in satan’s excrement.
I beg you in the name of Jesus Christ – Do not deliberately continue to plod around in satan's sewage – For, the Word says:
HEB 10:26-29
26 For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,27 but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries.
28 Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses.
29 How much worse punishment, do you think, will be deserved by the one who has spurned the Son of God, and has profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has outraged the Spirit of grace?
Because, if I continue with that wrong in my life, there comes a time, that you are so far moved from our Lord that you no longer hear his voice and you no longer care whether you hear His voice.
Eventually as I just go on and on, continually muddle in the wrong in my life, whatever it is, there come a time – the Word says – that the following are applicable to me:
HEB 6:4-6
4 For it is impossible to restore again to repentance those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit,5 and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come,
6 if they then fall away, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt.
Remember, I am writing this letter to every child of God who reads this letter.
You, who have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour.
I do not have a command from our Lord to share with people who do not want to be part of Christ's Salvation –
Therefore, I conclude this writing with the following from the precious Word of our Lord to every follower ofJesus Christ. You, who have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour:
1TIM 6:11-16
11 But as for you, O man (and woman) of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness.12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
13 I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who in his testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession,
14 to keep the commandment (Christian command of your Christian life/testimony) unstained and free from reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,15 which he will display at the proper time–he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords,
16 who alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.
