IN YOUR BOOK WERE ALL WRITTEN: THE DAYS THAT WERE APPOINTED FOR ME – PART 2 OF 3

Sakkie Parsons

Someone wrote to ask me the following question:

Is it true that God already decided how long we will live in which case we cannot change how long we will live?

In my first writing, I pointed out that the Word tells me that our Lord has determined an exact date for me when I will step out of my body into eternity.

In addition, I pointed out that because we were created in the image of our Lord, we – by living out our own will – are sometimes able to change that date with satan's help, and that our Lord, before He created us, knew exactly where and what changes we were going to make to His great plan for us.
In addition, I said that we cannot now be of the reasoning that: We can now live as we please, because our end is determined by our Lord.

Now, I would like to state further that, especially a Christian cannot argue, for example that: "I have accepted Jesus as Savior and Redeemer, I can now just carry on with my life, I am on my way to Heaven."

As I understand our Lord's purpose for the child of God here on earth, it is certainly not what our Lord wrote it for us in His Blueprint for our lives. Right now, I have to use the opportunity to gather treasures in Heaven, where moth and rust cannot destroy it.

MAT 6:20 “But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in and steal;”

I will however never come to that point where I can gather treasures in Heaven through my life, deeds and words, unless I allow our Lord to make me completely Christian.

When am I completely Christian?
Well, as I understand the Word, I'm only fully Christian when Jesus' law of love comes into being in my life.

What am I referring to?

MAT 22:36-40
36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 And Jesus replied to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’
38 This is the first and greatest commandment.
39 The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for others].’
40 The whole Law and the [writings of the] Prophets depend on these two commandments.”

Jesus concludes His answer to the man by saying:

40 “The whole Law and the [writings of the] Prophets depend on these two commandments.”

My great hero Paul explains these last words in Jesus' reply to the man as follows:

ROM 13:9 “The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, you shall not murder, you shall not steal, you shall not covet,” and any other commandment are summed up in this statement: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
ROM 13:10 Love does no wrong to a neighbor [it never hurts anyone]. Therefore [unselfish] love is the fulfillment of the Law.

In my next writing in this short series, I will explain how I can use my will which my Lord gave me, because I was created in His image, to gather treasures in heaven. How is it possible to gather treasures in Heaven? The Word states the following:

1TIM 6:7 “For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.”

For now, I will leave you with this wonderful wise counsel from Jesus our Lord: Do you want to know how to live out your life according to your will to touch the hearts of the people who cross your path, to stay in the will of our Lord's plan for your life?
How incredibly simple it is not, but – the further I live away from our Lord's plan for my life, the harder it is, and for a "religious Christian" it's completely impossible to live like this towards everyone.

What do I mean with a “religious-Christian”?

Well, I always say that you get two types of Christians.

The Jesus Christian – those who really “crucify the self” and try to live in the ways of our Lord Jesus.
“Religious-Christians” are those so-called Christians who live so full of religion and hate, contempt and other bad feelings toward other people in their hearts, that there is no place for Jesus in their hearts.

As I said, for now I will leave you with this wonderful wise advice from Jesus our Lord:

Do you want to know how to live out the will in your life towards the people who cross your path to stay in the will of our Lord's plan for your life?

Just look how wonderful and simple it is, but for many people it's almost impossible, and for religious Christians it's completely impossible to live in our Lord's plan for their lives:

MAT 7:12 “So then, in everything treat others the same way you want them to treat you, for this is [the essence of] the Law and the [writings of the] Prophets.”
