DO YOU HAVE A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS?

Many people wonder, and have asked me, why so many Christians do not act like Christians, and why we struggle so much to win the world for Jesus. After all, this is the only, the most wonderful, and the true faith that exists.
If you were to ask me that question, I would answer you without hesitation with what is written below, which someone once sent to me.
I am of the opinion that many people who say they are Christians do not truly have a personal relationship with Jesus.
In my life I have found that there are people who are very religious, yet at the same time very far from God.
Remember, being religious does not make you a child of God.
Just as little as it makes you a motor mechanic if you put on an overall and walk around in a motor workshop with a spanner in your hand, if you are not actually a motor mechanic.
Today, just as in the time of my great hero Paul, there are many religious people.
ACTS 17:22
So Paul stood in the middle of the Areopagus and said, “Men of Athens, I observe that you are very religious in all respects.” (AMP)
ACTS 17:23
“For while I was passing through and carefully observing the objects of your worship, I also found an altar with this inscription: ‘TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.’ Therefore what you worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you.” (AMP)
Today many people’s heads are full of Jesus—that is, the knowledge about Him—but sadly there is no place for Him in their hearts.
For me personally, the outstanding characteristic of a true Christian is the love and humanity with which he or she treats their neighbour—regardless of the status, culture, or race in which a person encounters their neighbour.
Because the most important thing for every true Christian on this earth is what Christ told us is the most important:
MATTHEW 22:36–40
36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 And Jesus replied to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.”
38 “This is the first and greatest commandment.”
39 “The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
40 “The whole Law and the writings of the Prophets depend on these two commandments.”
Here then is what the person sent to me:
“You cannot speak that which you do not know.
You cannot share that which you do not feel.
You cannot translate that which you do not have.
And you cannot give that which you do not possess.
To give it and to share it, and for it to be effective,
you first need to have it.”
Therefore—today, receive the greatest Gift in your life, and give your heart and your life to Jesus—He who laid down His life for you—so that you do not have to go to eternal hell, but may spend eternity with Him in glory.
JOHN 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”
