WHAT SHOULD I DO IF A NARCISSIST IS PART OF MY LIFE?

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF A NARCISSIST IS PART OF MY LIFE?

Sakkie Parsons

Translated from Afrikaans:  “Wat moet ek doen as ‘n narcis deel van my lewe is?”

Someone is writing to me about a person in her life who is very short-tempered and wants to fix everything with his fists.
Someone who is completely self-centred and always right.
Someone who always degrades and breaks you down.
Someone who had himself baptized and presented such a wonderful image to people around him and I can still go on and on.

She then asks me for my advice on what to do and whether such a person can be truly converted and whether, for example, a bad temper is a demon.

Here then is my answer to her which I also share with you.

First:
A temper is not necessarily a demon but may, in my opinion, sometimes be part of the manifestations of a demon.
There are people who had a great temper who were not children of our Lord but realized that they had a problem and sought help and worked hard on their problem themselves and overcame their anger.

So, to me, this is proof that a temper is not a demon itself.
Just like a cold, flu, Covid, and for example cancer is also not a demon.
Because you can cure colds and flu with medication, and you are really not going to cure a demon with medication.
You can control Covid with an injection, (I already had three) but you really cannot control a demon with an injection.
You can cure cancer with medical treatment.
For example, I was treated for melanoma cancer in 1998 and with the loving grace of our Lord, was healed but you really are not going to drive a demon out of someone else or yourself, with any medical treatment.

People too easily call anything and sometimes even just everything a demon and satan crawl as he laughs.
Because while someone is shouting: "Wolf, wolf!" (fear), satan strikes many people from another angle with his other fist into hell – because they concentrate on his one hand, shouting "wolf, wolf".

What you have all described to me is in my opinion the classic symptoms of a narcissist and for that, there is no medical or psychological cure, and it is in my personal opinion certainly demonic.

Also of such a demonic nature, that the reason why such people cannot be healed is, because they do not want to be healed.

Talk to any psychologist and he / she will tell you and I, as a worker of our Lord, also say this to you now –

There is only one solution for anyone who has such a person in his / her life:

Break as soon as possible, (I actually want to write, as in yesterday) entirely and in all respects with the person.

You only have one other tragic choice and that is; you keep the person in your life and are never going to be happy and it can even get you into hospital, or into your grave. This has happened to many others.

Then –
Baptism does not make you a child of our Lord.
I have seen many people in my life who were baptized and the only difference from before their baptism and after their baptism was that they went unconverted and dry into the baptismal water, and unconverted and wet, came out of the baptismal water:
Listen to this:

ACTS 2:37-39
37  Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?"
38  And Peter said to them, "Repent (As with all your heart and visible in your life and only then…)and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
39  For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself."

In my opinion, many pastors baptize people too soon for the sake of numbers and this is completely wrong, against the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How will the people, even your closest friends and loved ones, see you, if you have truly been baptized as a convert person?

It is Jesus himself who says this to you and me:

MAT 7:16-23
16  You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?
17  So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit.
18  A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit.
19  Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20  Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.
21  "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22  On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' ? (of course, also like today, with great display that everyone can see and admire them, except their intimate loved ones, who know what their life really is like.)
23  And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.'

I know of a man that shouted “Hallelujah” and “Praise the Lord” louder than all the people in  church on Sundays, and is currently in jail for molesting many young girls, many of his own family.

Finally, there is only one way an ordinary person can see that you and I are children of our Lord:

LUKE 3:8  Bear fruits (which everyone, even your most intimate loved ones can see)  in keeping with repentance.. (that fits your conversion)

Do you remember what Jesus said, which you read just a little earlier in this writing?

MAT 7:16  You will recognize them by their fruits. …

What do these fruits, that cannot be seen with bad fruits, look like on you?

GAL 5:22-23  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control;

The Amplified Bible read as follow:

GAL 5:22-23
But the fruit of the (Holy) Spirit (the work which His presence within accomplishes) is love, joy (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence) ..

Because you see:

GAL 5:24  And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

GAL 5:25  If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.

In normal everyday language:

" Let the people around you see the family characteristics of your Father."

Sakkie
